In August 2000 I had the opportunity to fulfill one of my greatest wishes: The surrounding of Kailash - the holy mountain in western part of Tibet, crossing the Drölma La Pass and passing the Manasarowa-Lake. Our group was formed of nine people, three journalists, one Geologist, two Teachers, one Engineer, one businessman, and at least me. All were in this region for the first time in their life, all were very much enjoying the tour from the first to the last day without any complications or obstacles. Opposite: The whole crew of Adventure Karnali was so very friendly and polite, that every day signified a new adventure for all the members. Even the meals were so extremely excellent, that one had the impression to undertake a three or four-star-journey without any hurdles. Even the menus had most time four different courses, with everlasting politeness of the Sherpas and ever ending with tea, coffee and chocolate. One cannot imagine which impressions someone had, who slept first time in his life in a tent, and who walked the first time in life with sticks and never saw a panorama as the Himalayan and Western Tibet Region. Even the four times changing of different kinds of transport were so exciting, first the mules as transporters of baggage from Simikot to the boarder of Tibet, afterwards by Truck and Landcruiser and later on with Yaks around the Kailash and even at the end of the tour, the whole group again was just waiting for us with Trucks and Landcruisers. I never in my life had a better-organized journey. And I never in my life had a journey with so much new impressions, which are ever lasting in my mind.
The whole tour was organized by Mr. Topden Lama of Adventure Karnali, Kathmandu, Nepal.

Dear Adventure Karnali,
I would like to say thank you for the wonderful Kailash-journey in August 2000. Your staff was very experienced, helpfully and took care of us. More than 20 nights in the tent, difficult roads and different interests of our group members were no problems for you to manage it. If we were tired after a long trip, after the meal, cooked by your cooks, we were fresh again. It would be happy, to see you and your staff on the next tour again.

Dear Adventure Karnali,
I want you to know that my experience with Adventure Karnali and with Topden Lama taking me trekking to the remote area of Nepal Known as Humla is the high point in my lifetime of travels. Being able to live for two weeks with the local people of Tibetan ancestry in the high Himalayan Mountains, in their homes is unforgettable. The people, food, friendliness and the adventure and enjoyment of being "next to the Gods" in the Himalayan Mountains will always make me want to revisit there again.
For me, traveling to Tibet for a week, with arrangements by Adventure Karnali; is an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived in Lhasa, Tibet and spent time with the Tibetan people, witnessing their way of living...They are so friendly and with happy faces. The Potala Palace, former home of His Holiness the fourteenth Dalai Lama overlooks the entire city and valley. It is filled with treasures beyond belief of the Buddhist Faith. The monks are friendly and some speak English. The food is different and wholesome and tasty. We are so high altitude. almost 15,000 feet. And the seeing the Himalayan Mountains and Mount Everest filling the sky with its beauty. Truly a place of rare beauty. I will always treasure this experience and will one day again return to view the Shrines and Temples and holy places and be with the people of Tibet.
