Successful pioneering treks and many more trips organized in 2001

Professional guides and managers established Adventure Karnali (P) LTD. more than a decade ago, serving the Tourism Sector in harmony with the old proverb,"Old is Gold." Several groups have thanked Adventure Karnali for their successful treks, which delivered them safely to their desired destinations, like; the Jungle Trip of Terai Plain in the Royal Chitwan National Park to the Expedition of Seattle, Washington's Mr. Matthew Fioretti of the Four Winds Expedition team at Ama Dablam in the spring of 2001, Mt. Everest region. Also including the very special trek to the Four Holy River's Source in Tibet, which was made by Mr. Bruno Baumann from Munich, Germany. The Four Holy Rivers are;

  1. Yarlung Sangpo or Tamchok Khambab, known as, the Source of Brahmaputra.
  2. Mapcha Khambab, the Source of Karnali.
  3. Langchen Khambab, the Source of Sutlej.
  4. Singchen Khambab, the Source of Indus.

Including other popular trekking areas in theHimalayas.

Adventure Karnali (P) Ltd. is offering this special Holy Mt. Kailash-Manasarovar trek , including trips to various "Power Places" in the year 2002.

We Buddhists believe that 12 significant birth signs are related to our individual lives. The Horse symbol is one of these Tibetan astrology birth symbols.

During the legendary history of the Holy Mount Kailash region the Symbolic Horse played an important role in folk tales amongst the Tibetans. Holy Mount Kailash is a famous mystical mountain that many pilgrims believe is the home of all the heavenly deities. And is considered to be the supernatural Mt. Meru which is so high, that it pierces the ether of this earth, and it's summit can be seen from the abode of Heaven. Sacred Mt. Kailash, which is 6,714 meters high, or 22,028 feet is the physical enshrinement of Mount Meru. The center of the universe where devotees and curious trekkers come to receive darshan-blessings.

One very special Tibetan tale told around the campfires of our people is the story of King Keshar Gelbo of Ling. He was a noble man who wanted to get rid of all the demons for his people. So he fought with the demons for several years but victory was only granted when the powerful Horse named "Thuru Kyung La Hyarwa" assisted him in the battle. The King was so grateful that he proclaimed a celebration in honor of this mighty Horse. So Buddhist practitioners from all over the world, will gather together,and make the kora-circumnavigation around Holy Mount Kailash in the year 2002.

Many faithful devotees believe that if anyone does 108 koras around Mount Kailash, they will be free from reincarnating on the earth and will awaken in the Heavenly world. But the year of the Iron Horse is very special, because one kora is equal to 13 koras.
